\"FRGHTCAT\"<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/i><\/b>Jordan spotted Silky the cat sleeping under the hedge. He ran over and pulled her out by picking her up roughly. She didn\u2019t like it, and hissed at him, wagging her tail . Betty tried to pat her head while Jordan was holding her, but Silky made a swipe at her with her paw.<\/p>\n

\u201cPut her down Jordan,\u201d Betty said, \u201cSilky doesn\u2019t like it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan let her drop down on the ground, and Silky stood there looking angry.\u00a0 She twitched her tail, and walked away. Cats have feelings too, and they don\u2019t always want to play. Betty and Jordan had to learn not to wake the cat up when she was asleep.<\/p>\n

Jordan went over to the trampoline. He climbed up onto it and started to jump up\u00a0and down.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe too\u201d, cried Betty, \u201cI want to get up!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo\u201d, said Jordan, \u201cWe are only to be one at a time\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo\u201d, said Betty again crossly, \u201cLet me get up too\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou might get hurt with me jumping\u201d, said Jordan. But Betty took no notice and started to climb up. Jordan kept on jumping, and soon Betty was jumping\u00a0 with him. What a lot of fun it was! But then Jordan took an extra high jump and lost his balance. He fell over on top of Betty, and she hurt her leg. She started crying at the top of her voice.<\/p>\n

Mummy came running outside to see what had happened. \u201cJordan, what have you done to Betty?\u201d she called.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t do anything Mummy\u201d, said Jordan, \u201cI told her not to get up and she did, and I fell on top of her\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cBetty, you know you are not to get on the trampoline when Jordan is on it\u201d, said Mummy as she picked Betty up, \u201cAnd now you have been hurt\u201d. Mummy kept on talking, \u201cI didn\u2019t make that rule to spoil your fun. I made that rule to keep you from being hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n

She gave Betty a big kiss where it hurt. \u201cJordan, you did the right thing telling Betty she wasn\u2019t to get up on the trampoline. But now, lunch is ready so come inside to have it\u201d.<\/p>\n

Betty had learned another lesson. The rules that Mummy made were the best after\u00a0all, as they stopped her from being hurt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
